They are always mentioning the price in UKP first, so I take it they will sell it from Great Britain? Well, EUR €1,950 + OS4 + Shipping/Handling + 20% British VAT on top of that, should make it land around the EUR €2,500 (just for reference: ~ $3,400) mark or beyond for European customers. Mind boggling!

The price rumors I guess you might call them, seem kind of high. 1500 Euro is almost 2100 bucks in US dollars.

The price has been *confirmed* to ~ EUR €1,950 excluding OS4 (seems to be included in the "first contat limited edition" though?), shipment of a big and heavy package (with insurance?), and 20% VAT (if it's UK based). With that included it should land at about EUR €2,500 for European customers. You want the keyboard and mouse as well, pay even more! Want more memory, pay even more! Want a bigger HDD, pay even more!

Sounds like you might like the low cost Amiga OS 4.x laptop coming out then.

At $300 you could get 10 (ten!) netbooks for *one* X1000! I think this might be the last nail in the X1000 coffin...

I think most other people think that the OS4 Netbook will be a LimeBook, not the LinkBook that you linked to.

AFAIK it's the same thing...
