Genesi at Freescale FTF
« on: June 22, 2011, 10:26:35 AM »
I'm relaying a post from powerdeveloper.org here, containing some information about Genesi's latest ARM developments. There are two videos showing quite a few interesting things, like how Genesi’s Hard Float optimizations speeds up Linux performance up to 300% on ARM computers, as well as the ultra-cheap version of their new i.MX53 board that will be used in netbooks and tablets. It's *really small*, faster in many ways than their i.MX51 boards and has better features, and they claim it's the cheapest option in existence anywhere (which seems to have been the main design goal)!

Just wanted to share some video's with you from FTF, currently ongoing in San Antonio, Texas.

The first one discusses ArmHF, with Konstantinos:

In this second video I introduce the new i.MX53 board and talk about some of the software work we've done. You also get to see the PixelQi screen :-)

Thanks to http://www.armdevices.net for making the video's!
