733MHz to 1.1GHz, 1MB of (improved?) L2 cache, 200 MHz FSB, 0.13 micron, less than 8W at 1GHz. Not bad! :-)

Indeed, and Apple will probably use them as such as the article suggested.

The MPC 7447 (The Pegasos G4) is not bad either, quite cool with its 10W @ 1GHz. That too is 0.13 micron, it has smaller L2 cache (nevertheless twice as big as most of the other G4's), and it has Altivitec.

But most important of all: We don't need to wait for Q1-Q2 2004 for its arrival in end user products! :-)

Perhaps the 10W is with reference to the lower power version
