I thought that AmigaOS was a lean, mean OS that didn't need the vast amounts of RAM needed by other, inferior products? If that's still the case, why are they selling it with 512 meg of RAM when it should be literally flying with 64?
I have 512MB in my Pegasos. I had been away from Amiga for a while and was kind of used to the PC situation when I ordered it, and I must say it is a real overkill with that much memory in an Amiga envireonment. But at least you will have a huge RAM: drive! :-D
Why they are selling it? I think it has something to do with availability really. I don't think there are any 64MB or 128MB modules available that works with the Articia. Perhaps a few 256MB's, but I believe it is much easier to get ahold of the 512MB's.
