Wow, a very long post! :-)
As others allready pointed out, you seem to be a little tired of the situation. But trust me, you are not alone! I myself reached that point some 1.5-2 years ago (actually perhaps even earlier, I got very disappointed with them when they declared that the 'Amiga as a platform [later "Amiga Classic"] is dead' and that the new "Amiga" was the DE thingy). But then I realized that there was a Plan B (or rather "bPlan" :-P) ...
" Dayum, they never told us this stupid rotten
trademark we've gone and bought came with it's own
freakin community . . . they seem kinda restless . . . . .
. . . aaaw shucks Fleecy, I knew I should have bought
them there magic beans instead "
True quote, he really said that.
:-o :-o :-o
Did he really say that?! When? Where?
Nah, it doesn't matter now anyway. Amiga Inc as a company is hardly existing/functioning anymore. But they were never really about Amiga anyway, so it doesn't matter. I guess the cell-phones has to live fine with Java in the future too, just like they do today! :-)
