Apple are wise not to release the specs with all the GHz-fans around.
I think whabang meant more like "technical documentation needed for porting an OS". But can Linux run on it, so can AmigaOS/MorphOS, right?
Any btw, an Apple is not really superior to an A1 or Pegasos - maybe Apple get the first pick of the PPCs, but there's not much else better... :-)
I wouldn't say that. Have a look at:
http://www.apple.com/powermac/On that page you can see the following specifications: The powermac comes with either dual G4 @ 1.25GHz or dual G4 @ 1.42GHz. It has better memory bandwith than the Articia, up to 2 GB of high-speed DDR SDRAM can be used. It has one FireWire 800 port, two FireWire 400 ports. It also has Gigabit ethernet. Finally, it has AGP 4x.
You can also read: "What’s more, FireWire, PCI expansion and Gigabit Ethernet are integrated directly into the main system controller, reducing latencies and providing superior I/O performance."
Looking at the specs, I would say that Apple is pretty much superiour to both the A1 and the Pegasos1. It is *a lot* more expensive too, of course! ;-)
