IIRC Pasha stated that SCSI modules containing the glogic chip could be overclocked, whereas the SCSI modules with the Symbios chip couldn't. I have a Cyber SCSI MKII with glogic chip, and when I tried to overclock, I couldn't get it to start up with even a 60 MHz oscillator. I doubt that you will find someone with a MKII running at 80 MHz with the SCSI module running as well.

Yup, I read that somewhere years ago.... and was disappointed to find that i had the Symbios chip. Tried to google it and find it again, but no luck.
It could perhaps be that it's the glue logic (the other chips on the CyberSCSI) that are the limiting factor, and that they were upgraded some time after phase5 switched from Symbios to Qlogic? Who knows... It works for some, and doesn't for others.

IIRC, the CyberSCSI was slightly faster than the FastLane. But I tested this many, many years ago... But I did end up with running the cs mk2 @ 60 MHz and using the Fastlane.

Jose reminded me that the original phase 5 'upgrade to 66 MHz' doc also mentions a necessary Flash ROM update.
This may perhaps be required to overclock with the SCSI module?
If, that is, one can find the Flash ROM update files...
