Printed margins goofy
« on: February 17, 2011, 12:15:08 AM »
Got my HP laserjet 5l Xtra model hooked up to the A4000.  It will print just fine, although the left hand margin is 2 characters away from the edge of the page and the right hand margin is a couple of inches away.  This is with using both regular driver and turboprint driver.  Forgot to mention this is without changing any settings either in the printer section or turboprint section or in finalwriter (from where I'm printing it.)

I am using yer basic parallel printer cable.  I seem to remember having to buy  a custom jobbie way back in the day for my dot matrix.

Humorously enough, wordsworth 7 prints perfectly.  It must be some setting within Finalwriter...

I found that with FinalWriter too never could get it to print close to the edge of a page, never got round to trying to figure it out though, just ended up setting everything so that the printed page was centred with equal sized borders on the left and right... :(

It is a weird problem.  The fact that wordworth prints fine and FW doesn't seems to rule out the drivers.  Annoying as all get out.
