Good place to source Green (Amber?) HD LED's for A2000
« on: May 25, 2010, 05:36:46 PM »
I've been casually browsing vesalia and amigakit-its the 2 strand HD active LED that is bad.  It looks as if the PO had used the power indicator LED to show hard drive activity.  The actual HD light is evidently no workie.  Any ideas on a good place to source these?  I was thinking of hauling it to Radio Shack and seeing if there are any solutions there.

Don't really know the actual size of the LEDs, but e.g. 5x2 mm rectangular LEDs single or dual are available in any electronics shop.

The ultimate solution for very special sizes is to cut a piece of transparent plastics into the desired size and just glue a standard LED to the back.

That's what I was thinking-maybe I'll have to get a disco one and build some setup soi whenever there' a read spike it will shift color .

To radio shack it is then :D

I was cleaning out the garage yesterday and found the lights for an A2000.  If you still need them just let me know, thanks.

Sure!  PM me the details and I'll see what's what.
