RGB Scart and black screen

I recently found a rgb scart for my A1200, but putting it onto a couple tv's just gives a black screen. it looks like pin 16 of the scart has not been connected correctly, and i cant manually change the tv's into 'rgb mode'.

As i do not have the skills to open it all up and fix myself, i was wondering if there are any cheats, or something cheap i can buy, to force the tv to change so i can see whats going on !

Is there anyone who can suggest something?

if this is what you were on about, then that picture is not 100% correct.

scart pin 16 needs +1-3V to comply with specifications, so this picture *might* work, but anyway, it is not going to help me as im not opening the cable up and soldering anything! i dont want to kill it!

yes it can go rgb as the dvd player is set to rgb, and the osd on the tv says it is in rbg mode, but when i swap over the scart, it goes into cvbs mode and there is no way to swap it manually on the 2 tv's i have. 1 crt and 1 lcd.

pin 16 of the scart is not connected at all, so i have 2 options i suppose. find someone who can re-do the cable properly or get a tv which i can manually change to rgb.

anyone have any other ideas? (besides shouting at the person who i got it from ;-))

found this which may do the job, unless anyone else has a better rgb scart switcher.

looks like i will get the one i linked to, as it will also help me with (what seems to be) the same problem with my dreamcast and its scart cable.

before all this happened i thought it had just broken, thank god i didnt throw it out! :-)
