In my head, netbook is not much valued before OS 4.2 and Timberwolf are done because it really needs to use hardware acceleration on netbook because pure software might crawl.
Software rendered gfx is only small part of it. You have to decode images, parse html and css, execute javascript, convert text to local charset, calculate page layout i.e. hell lot of small tasks you have to do on CPU only.
