I have a Amiga 4000T w/a 150mhz Cyberstorm PPC card. I'm in the process of cleaning it up and reinstalling 3.9. I am curious though.. Anyone install OS4 on their PPC based Amiga running at 150mhz? Responsive? What about MOS? How simple is it to install? Can I dual/triple boot? Do I need to buy OS4 and MOS? (Not asking for a pirated copy, just wondering if its free or not)

MorphOS for PowerUp is available for free from powerup.morphos-team.net and OS4 is available from OS4 resellers world wide.

68k applications in MorphOS on my Amiga 1200 (BPPC 040@25MHz/603@175MHz) ran faster than on 68k but there were also some applications that did not run faster on PPC than on 68k... your mileage may wary.

Graphics are definitely faster on PPC, so is AHI and MP3 decoding.

MorphOS can be installed on Amiga system partition but using its own partition is probably better idea. You can triple boot to 68k/MorphOS/OS4 or even Linux or anything you wish.

Installing OS is easy part. Getting it run with all expansion cards always is not.
