I just recently tested my Panasonic KX-P2023 on my A1200, even bought a new ribbon (plenty of those on eBay) as the text was getting a bit light. This model even has a mode called "SUPER QUIET" (prints a bit slower and yeah, it makes *slightly* less noise, but... you know matrix printers :))

There is a PanaPlus driver for 24- and 9-pin series (readmes didn't mention your model) and it says its up to OS 3.0.
