I think that CM8833-II is different and doesn't strain the eyes so much. But not I'm sure if it's really safe.

Then that 1084S is producing a distort picture or either it's refresh rate is too low.
What Amiga do you have ?
Cause if it's one that could fit a Indivision then you could try that and hook it up to a LCD/LED monitor.
Since I have those, I don't want to go sit behind a CRT, unless I really have to.
