Didn't the Commodore 128 push 64 users out of the way? And did it have some really weird memory issues with the older software. Ah, wouldn't that mean that the software would need to be rewritten?
The above was written in jest, mate. (Gotta remember to use those smilies) Yeah, both the Apple IIGS and the C=128 were great machines for their time, and their time was too short. Just for the record, though, there were NO memory problems with earlier 64 software in the C=128. Thats because, for some reason, Commodore elected to put a C=64 into the case with a new, incompatable machine which ran the 128 programs AND a CP/M computer. It was like three whole computers in one. Problem was, C=64 style programs didn't run any better on it, because they were running on a stock 64. It was, however, 100% compatable.
Hmm. Maybe those guys who want the old chip set on the AOne board aren't that far off
