A1200 Keyboard problem
« on: September 26, 2010, 12:34:10 PM »
Hi:
My keyboard refused to type some letters, and it's only caused by the ribbon cable that connects to the Amiga motherboard, because if I move it and hold it in some positions, I can write well. I have cleaned the contacts and so. As it didn't work at all, I have cut the end of the cable (1 cm), then I peeled the plastic over it on one side at the end, where it plugs in, but now it refuses to write any letter.

What must I do at the end of the cable so that it can connect right?

Well, it seems you have to take an screwdriver and peel the contacts of the ribbon cable after peeling it of the plastic that covers it, but it isn't an straight thing, so I will buy an spare secondhand keyboard I found for around 5€... by the way, drink some water, you have to have your tongue thirsty... and BTW too, do you think I must add me more lights for Christmas?
