Which is considered abuse by the Aminet team.

It's not "cool", it's stupid.

If it's stupid, then why do they host an rsync service open to anyone? I also keep a local mirror, using rsync  every now and then to keep it updated.

Then maybe "they" should take action and don't provide a public rsync service, if "they" consider it abuse?

The above is running on a mac that has "case obnoxious" HFS+, but still I suspect these duplicates with different cases on main.aminet.net are unintentional and unwanted.
