Czech Republic, which a lot of people think is a part of eastern Europe, while we proudly consider our country the heart of it.
Definetly central Europe in my view.
The term "eastern Europe" is still largely associated with countries that were part of the Warszawa pact + Jugoslavia. Or alternatively, any country with slavic speaking population + the Baltics, Hungary, Romania, and eastern Germany ofcourse.
What i find amusing is that there are still alot of people who say "Czechoslovakia"
