That is not the point. Sites like Facebook are feeding the criminal underground. sStolen accounts ard private info are merchandise and these sites make it so much easier for blackhats to collect data.

"They" are a whole lot of people, from shady marketing people doing advertising to criminal organisations that use identities for a whole range of activities. Getting spam in the mail is the least people should worry about.
