I dont really see the point with this one, it's only usefull for those rare native 1280x1024 5:4 aspect monitors (alllthough, I do have two of them), and it will eat more precious chip ram. I'm much more interested in a working 800x600 mode (4:3 aspect - Super72 doesnt work well), so that apps like HivelyTracker can run full screen.

Also, I have yet to find a way to get PAL display to stretch out vertically.

HivelyTracker on 1024x768:

SYS:Prefs/Overscan of PAL, notice the black bar ontop:
http://amiga.nvg.org/moro/Indivision_AGA/overscan-pal.jpg

Same with NTSC, no such bar here:
http://amiga.nvg.org/moro/Indivision_AGA/overscan-ntsc.jpg

And with 640x512 workbench, default settings with border both above and below:
http://amiga.nvg.org/moro/Indivision_AGA/workbench-640x512.jpg

Same annoying borders when playing slamtilt:
http://amiga.nvg.org/moro/Indivision_AGA/slamtilt-fixed.jpg

... and worms dc:

Any tip on how to get rid of these borders? I've tried altering the timing values, but only manage to change width, or the monitor ends up with "signal out of range".

I dont quite grasp the "output is always over 60Hz" vs. "Fallback to legacy flickerfixer-type 49.9Hz modes at the user's choice" - where/how do I chose this?

looks like your super72 800x600 screenmode like this?
the first firmware works with the wb3.0 drivers (but these drivers are different to 3.1-3.9 drivers)
so better use wb3.1/3.5/3.9 drivers and actual firmware for the indivision

Corretct, it just never occured to me to try out Super72 again after the upgrade

It works now, but still ends up as a small display on the middle of my monitor with large black borders around.. oh well, no big deal, it's perfectly readable/usable  :-)

Edit: Actually, it doesnt work unless I run Indivision_Config - if I boot into Super72, it's still wishywashy till I run Indivision_Config. I dont have to _do_ anything in Indivision_Config though, it's enough to just open it and quit. Btw, Super72 doesnt show up in Indivision_Config as a mode either. :-?

Kolla, the black borders are an artefact of your flatscreen. Indivision cannot do very much about it, other than trying to move away from the standards, which confuses most monitors (as you're writing, your monitor displays the "out of range" message).

I have now tried with a whole range of TFT monitors, and the problem remains the same with all them - "squeezed" modes with black borders above and below. I have the very same problem with Super72 as well, I can stretch it horisontally, but not vertically.

Funny thing is, with default settings:
Monitors report 800x600, fH 39 kHz, fV 62.4 Hz on PAL mode.
Monitors report 1024x768, fH 51.6 kHz, fV 64.0 Hz on Super72 mode.
Monitors report 1024x768, fH 50.9 kHz, fV 63.2 Hz on HighGFX mode.

I suspect "larger" mode on non-HighGFX modes is to give room for overscan?

Would it not be possible to drop this, so that Super72 could actually be displayed on a 800x600 signal?

Also, in Indivision_Config, only PAL, NTSC and HighGFX show up as mode, all others, such as Super72 and Euro36 are left out.
