Good question. Guess we'll never know, since PA-RISC was one of many architectures that got the shaft when everybody decided Itanium was The Future Of All Computing and it never made it past 1.1GHz, but considering that HP still sold them (even while pushing their Itanium line) through 2008, it can't have been
that bad.
