Aros is the only way to go for me, unless someone would like to junk their G4, I'd like to try out MorphOS then. 
Dunno where you're at, but I'd take a look around your local recycle center - mine gets whole palettes of retired G4s, you can get 'em cheap since they're mostly plastic, and they usually still work pretty well.
