It seems there's a few teething problems with the CDDA header! Could be a deal breaker although since my A4000T video/audio module already mixes the CD-Audio then I guess it's not so much of a big deal for me?

Not sure how that's possible? I too had to adapt a 4-pin PC CDDA cable for use in my A4000T. It was required for mixing the 2 audio streams despite having AsimCDFS. I'm not an expert however and was just glad to get it all wired up. The volume of the mixed sound sources are ok and match each other on the A4000T. I hope Dan can make use of the adaptions you suggest for the A4000.
