IIRC, the EIDE'99 software came bundled with
Elbox's 4xEIDE adapter, and only works with that adapter.
But you're right, it doesn't need registering. If you want the latest driver then you simply email Elbox with the serial number of the adapter, they're pretty quick at replying.
