Yup, the A4000T has both IDE and SCSI interfaces.
The 'OEM' Allegro will only work if finds one of Elbox's adapters on the IDE interface (IIRC, it rolls an ID code out of the PLD on the 4xEIDE), although I don't think it checks to see if the drive you want to use is connected to that interface.
