Two new Quake 2 Mods
« on: December 06, 2002, 02:53:51 PM »
I just put Blastchamber (60 MB) and Jailbreak (30 MB) online on the Amiga Quake 2 Page. Both were "Mods of the Week" on Planetquake somewhen in the past, and especially Jailbreak (killed players don't die - they go to jail, and their teammates have to free them) is quite well-known. Jailbreak was done by the same Mod-Team like Gloom.

Ah, that posting should be of Category "Games"... I just forgot to press the button for selecting the category. Sorry :)

Maybe a Moderator can change the category still ? :) (Thanks...)

(Natural Selections? What's that ?)

Well, the Website about this Halflife Mod did somehow not work with my browser (But I couldn't play it anyways, as the only PC I have is VEEERY slow - P75, and Halflife is not available for other OSes).

Anyways about "Marines vs. Aliens" there are two Mods (all in 1st Person View, though) for Quake 2, both ported to AmigaOS:

Gloom - Aliens in the "Aliens Movies" sense
Roughnecks - Aliens in the "Starship Troopers" sense

Roughnecks is only playing AGAINST the Aliens, though, not playing the Aliens. But in Gloom you can also play as Aliens (Alien-Team vs. Human-Team, with various Alien/Soldier types with certain Abilities and such - class-based Mod)
