Anyone can produce a commercial AROS if they want. Whether that's commercially viable in the marketplace is another question altogether. It won't stop a "free" AROS from existing side by side. I'd like to see the copyright and trademarks assets of "amiga inc" purchased away from those who were directly involved with the Gateway Amiga inc. and folded into a non-profit organization that supports all Amiga like platforms and their users.
