For sale: BRAND NEW Apple Mac Mini G4!
« on: February 24, 2010, 04:41:23 AM »
Hi guys. I am looking to sell my brand new and unused mac mini g4. I purchased this as new old stock a while ago and its been sitting in my room ever since. The box has been opened to verify the contents but the machine has never even been powered on. Specs are as follows: 1.42ghz G4, 256mb RAM, 80GB hard drive and combo CD burner/DVD-ROM. I had intended to make this my MorphOS machine but need the cash for a laptop.

This is a unique opportunity to grab some brand new MorphOS-capable hardware. :afro:

Comes with Mac OS X 10.4 installed (cd media also included).

I'm located in Perth, Western Australia but i'm willing to post internationally at the buyers expense. If anyone is interested and local they are more than welcome to come and inspect the unit.

The following links contain photos of the mac mini.

Thanks for looking!

Hi again.

I myself purchased the mac from a seller on ebay a while ago so I believe I had good reason to check that there was actually a computer in there and not a pair of bricks :) The actual computer itself is sealed in its tight plastic (as packaged by Apple).

Regards.

So the working condition is unknown and that is the buyers risk?

Hi crawff. I have no problem plugging the system in and switching it on to verify that it works if someone is genuinely interested in buying it. I want to leave the machine totally untouched for the new owner. I have no intention of selling broken hardware to anyone.

Regards.

Uhhh, yea. This is a sale I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole.

koaftder, may I ask in all honesty why? I realise I have not posted here before (or on any of the other amiga forums) but this is not a scam, i'm a real person and not out to grab anyones money and run. Is there anything I could do to convince you otherwise?

gaula92, I am totally open to any reasonable offers. As a starting point I will say $450AU plus postage.

Regards.

Not trying to be hostile. It's just not a believable story that someone would buy a machine off ebay and then never turn it on. Then to pop on a forum and immediately try to sell it without going through ebay or some other site that offers the buyer some limited protection just doesn't look good.

I purchased the mini after the MorphOS team announced support for it and it has been sitting here ever since. I have an ebay account with 100% feedback but have never sold (only purchased) items through it. Do you think it would be more appropriate (and help ease peoples worries) if I do use ebay?

Regards.
