Crossdos icon removal util
« on: November 13, 2006, 07:16:59 PM »
I have successfully installed a Zip drive this morning.
Now I have the CrossDos icon, but also an annoying DF0 one (unusable).  I seem to remember a small util which removes these unwanted icons, but what was it called, and will it work in this case?

Also, (OT) I'm only getting transfer speeds of about 200,000 per second.  Is this about right for a Zip disk?

Also, Is the CrossDos def icon changeable?

Cheers

@ Vincent / Zipper

Thanks, both useful comments.  Now the Zip's unused icon is hidden using Workbench prefs (should have thought of that!) and correct Zip deficon comes up by doing the dusk.info trick.

However,

There IS a program which zaps the unused crossdos icon properly and although the above method works for the zip, normal PC0 type disks still have two icons.  I would still like to know the name of this util.

Cheers
