Broadband connection problems - HELP!
« on: July 26, 2004, 05:58:24 PM »
My broadband account became active today, but i can't connect!

Using -
A1200T 060
3com PCMCIA ethernet card
ADSL router
Genesis/Miami (neither work)

When i connect, it all seems to go well and it says it's connected and the light on the router is on, but it's not as nothing will dowload from e.g. Ibrowse, Aweb, Yam. (get a No DNS Entry error)

The settings confuse me.  numbers such as 255.255.255.0 and 192.168.1.1 there are so many, and different guides refer to them as different names! My ISP sent me a username and password, but when you try to connect a SANA-2 device you are not given an oppertunity to type them in.
What i really need is a bunch of example genesis / miami prefs to study (with sensitive info removed of course!) please send to simon@teague.abelgratis.com or make suggestions here.

Cheers,
