look at the internal section. The most important jumpers
you have to check are J100 and J104. To use with the A3640,you have to set both on the Closed: External (68040) position.

Try to make the Amiga start without HD attached: if the hardware is ok, you should see the "Insert workbench" purple screen. Notice that after you switch on the Amiga up to 30 seconds may pass before the screen appears. (that's normal, the amiga wait to see if any IDE device "wakes up".
