I'd wholeheartedly recommend the Canon EOS 5D Mark II. Even though video is a secondary feature of the camera, it's got a beautiful, full sized sensor so you can have your pick of a million lenses which you can use any way you like. Light sensitivity and detail exceed even the higher end Sony and Panasonic cameras. Check it out.
