Seems like they are too busy getting themselves into the OUTSOURCING business.. People don't really know the name "Ruksun" in the Amiga community so they aren't aware that they are an outsourcing firm out of India providing rates and services that United States workers cannot compete with due to dollars paid per hour.. This is hardly an "aquisition".. They form an alliance with a US company or multiples (Like Lucent who's quoted in their literature) and offer IT services.

There has been a backlash from these operations with a lot of US IT managers due to quality of work provided and after work was completed updates could not be had because the workforce "disappeared". Also, working with someone on another continent has problems with communication of getting the work you want done, finished right.

Also even with a republican controlled congress in '04 a bill was introduced (unsuccessfully) to regulate outsourcing and trying to balance the playfield a bit.

This is a Quote from AmigaDevIndia Site:
"Working Together

Companies today need to be flexible enough to adapt to the flux in the markets. Successful business houses are adopting innovative and pliable strategies to improve operational efficiency, and achieving cost reductions through outsourcing.

Outsourcing offers you multiple benefits: quicker time to market, greater returns on investment; and consistent quality. However, the selection of a partner with whom to move forward is a critical and sometimes daunting task. Key considerations involve the selection of a partner that provides both technological prowess, as well as extensive experience of successfully completing small and large projects.

ADI has a proven track record in the outsourced application development sector. Our success lies in the ability to leverage long term client relationships through hands-on experience in quality and cost-effective project delivery."

While there is nothing wrong with this business practice legally. In my opinion it's very disheartening to see a U.S. company like Amiga have claims against it by their US based workers not seeing pay for things. While they tool up a staff in India who is centered around Windows and Windows Mobile development and not even doing any custom programming or operation for OS4 or AmigaOne or even classic machines. It could be at least mentioned even if they are having a problem getting the hardware that they plan on supporting OS4/AmigaOne solutions. Gee I wonder why they are not?

Hmm, brings to mind, solve problems with Eyetech/AmigaOne or.. put money into Kent Center and AmigaDevIndia..

Ideas of priorities are starting to form in my mind. What about yours?
