It always amazes me the number of complaints about eBay, outside the USA. Most of the things people complain about (money transactions, equipment arrival, working merchandise) can be avoided if you are a cautious consumer and exercise common sense. I have had one problem with ebay, but that was it. It has been a marvelous place to buy and sell things.
The whole thing on ebay is just watch yourself and remember:
1) if it seems out of the ordinary don't agree with it and discontinue the transaction.
2) if it seems to good to be true, it probably is..
3) Using a preferred payer.. Paypal is your FRIEND.. I repeat Paypal is your FRIEND. Money exchanges are difficult enough (currencies etc.) you need to just follow everything to the letter.
4) Don't hesitate to complain long and loud if have a problem to eBay themselves. They are good at helping you solve problems..
