I can't wholeheartedly disagree enough with the idea that it's not fast. I have PocketUAE beta installed on my HP IPaq 2215 and it runs brilliantly for speed.

How does UAE run games and such?

I have the feeling that a 400MHz XScale couldn't possibly be fast enough for fast emulation.... being as GHz PCs can just about handle it and the Pentium's a sure step above an ARM chip in speed...

As far as the original question goes, I am not a fan of the Palm because in it's current form, it's OS just isn't as functional. For those who made comments about handwriting recognition, I have owned a newton in the past and I think nothing right now beats Microsoft Transcriber (A free download) at pocketpc.com. Nor have I seen a comparable product to Microsoft Voice Command which lets you speak to your pocket pc.

Microsoft Transcriber

Besides that I haven't seen a word processor or spreadsheet on any PDA that equals SoftMaker's TextMaker or PlanMaker
