A2000 SupraRAM board question

As an Amiga NOOB who just acquired a vintage A2000 Toaster, it has a SupraRAM board in it with 6mb RAM. I'd like to add another 2mb but am unclear about the chip selection. I understand I need 16 1Mx1 DIP chips. In researching, one site says chips need to be in the 70-120ns range, another 80ns. The thing is, I'm not sure what's currently installed on the board I have speed-wise, and not sure how to tell. Do I need to match the speed of the existing chips on the board, or do they just need to fall within the specified range? The chips identification marks read HY531000S-10. I googled it and found a bunch of B2B suppliers, but nothing about the ns speed. Any help is appreciated!

Hey thanks, Jim. So that means I can mix 100's with 80's on the Supra? It does have a scsi controller card with mounted drive, but the mem sockets are
empty. Other than that, there's the toaster card and a tbc card, but I don't see any accelerator.

You should be OK with mixing 80s in on the Supra. I'm surprised there's no accellerator.... A Toaster doesn't actually *require* one, but it's kinda slow in some areas without it. Might make better sense to look for one of those rather than RAM....

Unless I'm looking in the wrong place, but the only boards I see are the TBC, Toaster, and SupraRAM board. I'm only looking at the expansion slots, so if the accelerator lives on the motherboard under the power supply or CD drive, I don't see one.

Where's the hard drive card and hard drive? Chances are REAL good that whoever had this previous to you snagged the accelerator out of it. Especially if you don't have a 2091 in there. Betcha there was a GVP combo accelerator with that Toaster. Quite a common setup with VT people and would have been the single most valuable card in your system. Isn't that nice wondering what might have been sitting in the fast slot? lol  030, 040 or maybe even an 060  :lol:

My bad, there is also a "2091 hard card" in it too, but no accelerator.

Does the machine boot?  I couldn't tell from the message but I'm assuming it does and you've checked the ram via the system.  You should obtain SysInfo or a similar pgm from Aminet to tell you what speed and processor you've got.  There were accelerator options for the 500 that were placed directly on the motherboard.  Most 2000s were accelerated via a Zorro card or the accelerator slot.
