Might sound silly, but be sure not to use the Mono output if you are doing this on a A500 with a A520 adapter 
(since mono aint any fun on a Hifi system)
Yeah, a buzzing video signal isn't much fun to listen to. Better connect the mono connector to a black and white monitor instead.
