And just to set the record straight: the 1541 spins at a constant speed, but the disk is divided into three density zones. (also called speed zones... ;-) There are more sectors per track on the outer tracks and less on the inner tracks.

Heh, I'd still say the Blizzard 2060 is the real pinnacle in A2000 acceleration.
