cnet.device is for NE2000 compatible network cards.. You need a pcmcia serial driver.

There should be one on aminet.

- Lose the patches for now.
- Remove card
- Boot machine
- Insert card
- Open a terminal program
- If not already done, configure it to use the pcmcia serial device
- Do what is necessary to open the device
- Try and send the command "at" to the modem..

at <- you type
OK <- the modem answers

Did it work?

The TCP/IP stack is useless for debugging it if you have no idea whether the device actually talks to the card..

The PCMCIA<->RAM clash exists only if you use a ram card that isn't configured in the 32bit area. No problem with the BPPC.

NComm should be enough.. Almost any term program allows you to choose what serial driver to use.
