Very occasionally male tortoiseshells are also born. Unfortunately they are sterile 99% of the time.

My girlfriend and I live with a lovely tortoiseshell cat (female) called F (who can guess where she got the name?-)

Here she is, very satisfied with herself.

We also have another girl, Viis.

Viis = five in Finnish spoken language, comes from Cat-5. (who's a geek :-)
