Internet connections.....Help required plse :-)

The internet connection is handled by TCP/IP (a network protocol) in OS4 and is not specified by the AmigaOS. You can probably connect to the net with all of those ISP's (internet service providers)

but the earlybird release AmigaOne motherboards is shipping with Linux, and there are programs programs that connects to the net with a standard modem, and with cablemodems available for free as downloads.

Umm, I'm not sure I understand what you mean... the AmigaOne boards that ship now before christmas comes only with LinuxPPC and not with AmigaOS4. If you are planning on running the Amiga emulator under linux then I guess that you have to get internet running on linux first, and there are quite a few programs that you can download from the net in which you can easily set up your internet account by filling in the information you got from your internet provider. And when you got a internet connection with linux, then the emulator uses the linux settings to connect to the internet with for example YAM or Aweb.

ah okey, Now I understand. Yup, and to answer your first question, any of the providers will "work" with OS4. You can surf as long as you got a internet account somewhere. (like the one you use now.)  :-)
