Just Ordered a AmigaOne x500 with Acube !!

Still no x500,
 payments is allready confirmed system is as far i know ready for shipping now for a few days but they seems to be very busy building systems and test them,
i really hope that they now find the time to ship the orders.

To ship it, you take the box to the post office on your
morning coffee break. Cancel your credit card payment with your
card providers service department. This is inexcusable  behavior.
The Amiga community must not tolerate deadbeats.

What effect would Amiwest have had on Acube?

If I had a dozen computers such as would be popular at Ami-west, I would have had them burned in, boxed up, and waiting for the shipping label, with the Fiat warmed up and ready to drive to the post office, while the kids spammed all Amiga sites saying Buy, Buy! Buy!!

 A business that relies on a few websites, like this one, and a few shows,
like Ami-west, to generate interest in their products, should have someone scouring all Amiga forums daily, to provide customer support, and reliable up-to-the-moment information.

Since California and Italy are both bankrupt. and largely populated by
bimbos, slackers, and the corrupt politicians who fleece them, I would not buy anything from those places, without being present at the sale, since businesses in such unstable locales, can vanish in a maze of legalese and redtape. Along with your money.  If any company does not answer the phone, cancel the order
with your credit card service department.

It took DELL 3 weeks to ship a laptop to me. I'm not surprised that it takes time to build/configure and test each x500 machine.

I can drive to the second-hand store, buy a used computer, open it,
drive to Best Buy, purchase replacement parts, put it together, install a linux,
and configure it with eyecandy and a net connection, in about 3 hours.

While Dell can hurredly mine precious metals, refine plastics, perform rocket science and alchemy, and assemble and ship the results while blindfolded, in only
three weeks, in order to preserve their reputation.

Acube? Not so much.

You are way too paranoic. I suggest seeking professional help. I can't imagine you buying something cheap off ebay for five bucks, then waiting month or two for the free shipping.
I guess you would be happy to pay 30$ for UPS from China just in case your parcel don't gets lost, or buy it locally for five times the price. I order regulary online and don't worry that much about the parcels. They come sooner or later, but if they don't, the sellers would refund me or the insurance will cover it. Ever heard of insurance?

Dude, this is an expensive custom computer purchase being discussed, not a cheap joystick from ebay, or some trifle from a chinese warehouse re-seller. I am not paranoid, but am sharing wise and common business practice with someone who has spent a lot of money, not $5, or $30, and received nothing, not even a courtesy call. You are a fanboy posting through rose-colored glasses, and do not serve the Amiga community, by defending lousy business practices. I want the Amiga community to grow, and manufacturers and sellers to prosper. This example of silence from the seller, does not bode well. Don't defend it, unless you want it to be the norm.

It was explained numerous times before. The Amiga dealers are usually very small companies that work on extremely tight budget. They can not afford call-center just to be there and inform You that your order is in good standing. If you are very impatient, you can go and pick the stuff by yourself. With Vesalia this is posible. I am not sure if Amikit accepts paranoid customers on foot.

What BS. Everybody has a phone. You don't need a 'call center'.

Hmm. I've read your posts here and I came to the conclusion you're somewhat paranoid as well.  Instead of rumbling around you should listen to all (in overwhlelming majority very pleaesed) customers of AmiKit, ACube, Vesalia and the like...

I never mentioned Amikit, Vesalia, and the like, so kindly stop your rumbling
around putting words in my mouth. I only bothered posting at all,
because lousy/lazy business practices do not advance the Amiga community,
and don't help potential customers purchase with confidence.

@klapdeur Glad you got one of the fastest Amigas on earth!  An OS designed
originally for 14-50  mhz computers, now modernized and running on a 1150 mhz next-gen Amiga, must be a real treat
