I would imagine they wouldn't be since Japan is an NTSC signal standard country.

BTW, some high-definition TVs have built in scan-doublers but be careful.  Some TVs sold in the US or Japan do not do 50 Hz vertical scan rates needed to play most European software.

The colorburst signal on the chroma line of an SVideo connection is wrong on a PAL Amiga and won't work on an NTSC SVideo connection.  You won't get color, just gray-scale.

Forget what I said.  If the hack adds a chip to the RGB Analog connector it will work.  I just assumed that the hack was using the internal RF modulator circuitry.
