You can get AmosPro and advice from http://amos.pspuae.com/ .

There's currently no demomakers uploaded there but I've written a text-scroller demo:  check out the Ribbons and Curls demo on the above website.

If you want to use Blitz Basic, make sure it is the latest open-source version:  AmiBlitz.  It has most of the bugs fixed from the older Blitz Basic 2.
