Based on what I read on the thread on AmigaWorld, the stand-alone version is behind the A1200 version and both of them are running behind the A3000/4000 version.  I think the hosted versions are upgradable to stand-alone, however.

IIRC, since the PowerVixxen LT is an accelerator card rather than a stand-alone computer it will be covered by the host computer's licence eg. the one that Commodore or Amiga Technologies sold you years ago.  In short:  it already has a licence to the classic versions of AmigaOS 4.

He found another source and it is no longer an issue.  He mentioned here that he's working on a new high-end board.  It will use the same CPU connector as the AmigaOne XE and MicroA1-c so that anybody who upgrades their A1 can continue to use their same CPU upgrade boards in the new motherboard.
