Keep in mind also that most software is written for Intel versions of Linux and might not run on 680x0 processor without endian conversions. If it's been ported to PowerPC Linux then there would be better luck recompiling it. Lastly from what I've heard (not verified) NetBSD support is a little better on Amiga than Linux.
