As for the assertion that Germany makes the highest quality stuff, I know of several Wolfsburg made VWs that break down with alarming regularity, certainly more so than many people with certain French / Italian / Spanish / Korean cars can testify.... That's a thing that should not be.
VW never must break down.
That's why VW is selling much cars, because of the broadly accepted quality.
Perhaps they send the crap ones over to England and keep the better ones in Europe.
Or they refuled with diesel instead of petrol ;-)
