AmigaOne + MacOnLinux anyone?
« on: February 11, 2003, 01:28:33 PM »
Hi, I was looking at MacOnLinux and it seems very appealing. Does it really work so well, to the point of being able to use an AmigaOne as a normal OEM Apple? A motherboard that runs Photoshop, Internet Explorer & Saffari besides AmigaOS 4.0 is not bad at all.

Something else: being used to speed of my 7Mhz Amiga 500, the G3 AmigaOne is already too fast, isn't it? Will I really notice any speed improvements spending almost x2 for just a few more Mhz with the G4?. If the G3 can go as fast as my x86 Duron I may say that it's fast enough.
Amiga 500. KS 2.04 1+4MB FAST, 40GB SCSI HD
Commodore 64 Breadbox + 1541
Duron 600Mhz 512MB Radeon 9000 Pro
HardSID + EVENT PS8s + Mackie VLZ 1402
Pegasos OR AmigaONE *possibly* on the way

Thanks for your comments guys. I guess that I'll need to talk about the AmigaOne G3-SE soon with my wife and I'll be in trouble trying to explain that this time YES THERE WILL BE THE NEW AMIGA. ;) Since I met her she complains I that I always say "the next year the new Amiga will be released" (I keep saying that since 1997).
