Urrgh Ball
« on: March 25, 2005, 04:00:32 PM »
The game of Urrgh Ball (or more corectly Urrgh Can) involves a beer can being thrown into the middle of the pitch (more technically known as muddy field in the backwater of Lincolnshire).

Two teams will then try to drink as much of the beer after they work out how to open it.

When a player gets hold of the can he may try to drink the beer or pass it to another player. However the opposing team (and most of those on his own) will be trying to beat him up to get the beer of him.

Although I have used the term "team" this is a bit misleading.
A player can move from one team to another and back again as often as he likes and other teams may join in during the game.

A point is awarded to the playter who drinks the last beer in the can then, after he has been beaten up by the other players for 'stealing' their beer, another can is thrown into the pitch.

With the recent introduction of the Urrgh Ball league ground conditions have improved with the introduction of lighting provided by clapped out Minibuses Ford transit vans.

Unfortunately Urrghh ball is still being ignored by the TV companies.

Mr "You Wanna a Punch", of Beer Barrel winning Fenside United gave his thoughts on the matter.

"Wot? You star'in. Come on!"

However Mr "I'm gonna hit yer so hard" of Wyberton Wanderers disagreed, saying "come ere an say that".

I'm not a beginner anymore. :-D
