A3000 slow boot.
« on: January 28, 2011, 04:51:51 PM »
Have been using my Cyberstorm PPC for a while now and never rly cared about the very slow boot time i get untill now.

So my question is, is there anyway to trick the A3000 so it dont scan for a hdd on the motherboard every time it starts? I dont got the room to fit another HDD in that smal case.

Maby put an active terminator on that 50-scsi port? Would that solve my problem?

Get SCSIprefs from Aminet. Check the time out and LUN settings. Long timeout causes very slow boot and LUN takes extra time to scan the SCSI bus. Also, check Hard drive jumper settings for Motor spin delay enable. Also check RDB or use Hdtoolbox to set Last Boot Drive.

So there is no way to trick the A3000 to asume there is a hdd on ther internal scsi port? Using the scsi on my ppc atm.
